To get rid of the fleas on the stray animals, give them a flea dip first. Then once they are dry, apply some flea and tick drops, such as Frontline or Advantix between the shoulder blades. For best results you need to KEEP using a flea / tick product. Otherwise the fleas will develop an immunity and the product won't work as effectively. I work as a groomer at petco, and I always leave my work shoes in the car, so I dont walk on my floor with my animals that I walked around in at work incase of disease. I also always come straight home, and put my work clothes in the washer, so if there are fleas or ticks, my aniamls dont get them. Yes you could possibly take the fleas home.
